If I tried to wake when only the monitor has gone to sleep, but the computer has yet to, then the monitor wonР В Р вЂ Р В РІР‚С™Р Р†РІР‚С›РЎС›t come back on. However, if the computer goes to sleep as well and I wake the computer up, then the monitor will come back on. After monitor sleeps, canР В Р вЂ Р В РІР‚С™Р Р†РІР‚С›РЎС›t get the display back on.

IР В Р вЂ Р В РІР‚С™Р Р†РІР‚С›РЎС›m using the same MiniDP Adapter that you are. To you issue, the current GTX 740 outputs via HDMI. I installed OpenCore on it and all is good, though, still not getting a Boot Selection Screen, going to get a another Card that others have had success with. ItР В Р вЂ Р В РІР‚С™Р Р†РІР‚С›РЎС›s metal capable and boots fine, just no boot screen.

IР В Р вЂ Р В РІР‚С™Р Р†РІР‚С›РЎС›ve run into the same type of issue, though IР В Р вЂ Р В РІР‚С™Р Р†РІР‚С›РЎС›m on a GTX 740 PC Card. The only thing that I have not tested or replace is the power supply (I do not have the equipment to test), this is a gamble I am not willing to make if I do not know the cause of the issue, was told it was a GPU fault by a technician and bought one, yet doesn't solve the problem. To make sure my logic board is working, I replaced the GPU with the stock ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GBР В РІР‚в„ўР вЂ™Р’В and boot with High Sierra - everything works fine. When upgrading to Mojave, I installed the new OS to my 1TB SSD and kept High Sierra 10.13.6Р В РІР‚в„ўР вЂ™Р’В in its original 1TB HD.

Tested the Apple LED Cinema DisplayР В РІР‚в„ўР вЂ™Р’В with my PC via DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPortР В РІР‚в„ўР вЂ™Р’В adaptor - no issues.

Tested both MSI Radeon RX 580 Gaming X 8GBР В РІР‚в„ўР вЂ™Р’В and MSI Radeon RX 580 Armor 8GB OCР В РІР‚в„ўР вЂ™Р’В on my PC - no issues.

Replace GPU with MSI Radeon RX 580 Armor 8GB OC.

Connect to Apple LED Cinema DisplayР В РІР‚в„ўР вЂ™Р’В via DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPortР В РІР‚в„ўР вЂ™Р’В adaptor.

Connect to Samsung Curved LED Monitor (C27F591FD)Р В РІР‚в„ўР вЂ™Р’В via HDMI and DisplayPort.

The system boots up with the chime with a brief red LED flash on CPU tray. After a restart, my Mac Pro 5,1 boots up without video output, I can access the files and content via a networked computer, so I can confirm booting up is not an issue.
